So I have had a lot of time today. I discovered that I am in love with the ability to be able to take video with my phone and put it here for your my enjoyment. Other than go pick out our carpet and shower I have not done much. Well except make home movies. If this one isn't proof that Nonnie should buy her littlest grand-daughter Baby Einstein Mozart & Beethoven I don't know what is!
So the other day my girlfriend (and our 2 babies) and I went to Lowe's to look at "the fridge". Scarlet had been napping sweetly so of course it was no surprise when the minute we pulled up she started crying. I got her out, put her in the peanut shell and off we went. While standing at the customer service desk I caught a whiff of something only my child could produce. Of course this is an up the backer and this whole time I am mentally giving out bad mommy awards to myself for letting her cry. So I get diaper/roadside bomb changed in Lowe's bathroom, put Scarlet in her seat and we go. She starts screaming, the second she calms down friends babe chimes in. This video does no justice seeing as how they kept crying once I quit recording so I could attempt to roll my head up in the passenger window. Note to self - self, don't ever get in a car that has more than one infant.
Not only am I a Mom but this one is for you mom. Between moving, baby, being a wife, running the house, buying a new fridge, getting my period cause I accidentally missed 3 days of BC, and oh did I mention moving, I have NOT had time to blog. I want to real bad but For the next week (if I am lucky) we will be moving and I just can't do it. On top of that i don't know when the internet at new house will be up for me to begin (again). I can't wait to give updates but for now you are just gonna have to wait and read all the peeps on my sidebar that actually blog...love you all :)
oh and I made Scarlet her first Shutterfly book and it shipped today :) Can't wait to share the results!!!
Seriously this post doesn't interest me cause I have blogged everyday this week. Instead I will show you pics. Thus far we have bought/painted "granite counter tops...has anyone used Giana Granite? It looks way better so far but we aren't done yet. We have totally organized the garage sale and I can't wait to see my sister!
K # 1, this teal and used to be white counter... eew
Now step 1 of granite paint
I left that front teal cause I didn't want it to get jacked up during dishwasher removal. Don't panic, it will get painted as well.
Another view, seriously ya'll this makes such a big difference already!
This is my outfit today, I know my legs look lame but my size 10 short are already too big and I am PUMPED about that, so I wore these knee shorts today and this $16 Old Navy tank! Don't judge.
And finally baby girl trying to like the jumper.... if only she could straighten out both legs at once?
This is going to be extremely boring as my plans today involve eating and going to try to find a pair of jeans. We will see what happens...
8am - Awake to what sounds like a bird fling into the glass of my bedroom window, look out and see wounded bird.
8:12am - wake up baby bird, feed her, change 3 poop diapers and play until 9:15.
9:15am - put S down for nap, get myself dressed and sit on the couch to blog/ watch I didn't know I was pregnant.
10:15 - S woke up early from her nap, I put her in the swing, no dice. She ate at 10:40 then played until 11:40
It is now 12:13 and she sleeps. I will attempt make-up now
1:20 - Go eat at the restaurant with dad then go buy moving boxes
3-now - Pack pack pack all I can!!
Now - Drink wine and eat ice cream :)
Have a good night ya'll!
I live down south!! In a tiny 2 bedroom 1 bath house. We have lived here for almost 3 years. But alas, we are in the process of moving to a much safer, happier location with lots of tubs and toilets, lots of rooms for family to sleep over, and lots of junk. Thats right, we have a lot of it, the new house has a lot of it, and in turn we have A LOT of work. Sorry the posts are so short but I have been working my tail off trying to get new house ready. I will post more pics soon. On another note I won my first giveaway today!! Taylor at The Undomestic Momma picked ME to win a super cute bracelet from Alex and Ani!! Check it out here! Thanks again Taylor!!
This is SO easy. Google is my all time fav website. I love that I can type in something (human caterpillar) and get an instant result! I love that it gives suggestions so you can see that you are not the only idiot that googled human caterpillar. I love that I have an app for it and I can google these things on the go! I love that all of you are going to google human caterpillar and be sorry you did it. I apologize in advance, but I still love google.
We love to cook, like every night. This was a hard one for me. To pick one recipe! I finally decided on one that we LOVE but don't have often so here goes! This is my moms potato soup recipe. Ya'll it is east and the.best.soup.ever! Creamy, fattening, served with cheese toast...I mean, what more could you ask for really? Mom's Potato Soup
5 Idaho potato's
1 C. 1/2 &1/2
Small container of Sour Cream
1 white onion (chopped)
Peel potato's, cut into chunks. Bring onions and potato's to boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 15 minutes. Drain water, add 1/2 stick of butter, salt & pep then mash. Pour in 1/2 &1/2, pour in milk until desired thickness. Stir in 1/2 container of sour cream. Simmer on low until you are ready to eat. Add fresh chives on top for garnish & taste!!
This is sooooooo good seriously! Try it and let me know what you think!
We started demo at 9 this morning and just stopped at 8 tonight, we had seriously flipped this house and sister you will DIE when you see it!! We removed ALL of the overhead lighting as well as light switch and outlet covers. We sheet rocked every hole. We cleaned and painted every inch of grout, we ripped up the ENTIRE upstairs of carpet (that the dog had peed on for the last 3 years.) Hopefully that will remove the smell too?
So a little bit funky but nothing a sander can't clean up!!
These are the grout before and after I cleaned it as well as the master floor. Beautiful I tell ya!
This is the back splash for the kitchen. Tons of pics to come I promise :)
So my sister informed me that my comment button is gone, yeah thats sad cause she is the ONLY person that comments. So has anyone else had this problem? I looked at my comment set-up and it looks normal to me...I have not changed anything so I don't understand why it would just stop working. Any info would be appreciated!
Hmm, I was a very avid artist and sold my art for years, not so much any more. My husband says being sweet is a talent. I disagree. I can sew, I can cook like a mad man, and I am a great mom. If thats not what talent is then I don't know what to say!! :) Now let me look around for I have a mad talent for ice cream eating... Ok for real I am very creative and you will see that coming along with the house project. I hope.
Ahh, what a wonderful day. Other than the fact that I was hungover and got my period, it was the best day of my life! We had a week at the beach beforehand and by we, I mean my girlfriends and I. We drank and played and made videos. The wedding came and went and was so, so fun!!
That was the dress I wanted to buy... I didn't
Girls out and about.
Getting me ready
The most beautiful day of my life. May 16, 2009
and May 3, 2010... when we welcomed our angel here!
So I took down a chandelier in the new house that was totally disgusting. It hung in the smoke stained hallway and looked just sad with the blue carpet. I looked at it for awhile before deciding that if I could get it clean it would look amazing once we rip up the carpet to reveal the hardwood floors. We are doing that Saturday so pics will come! For now, here is the before and after of the chandelier.
This is the hallway where it was. Notice the white spots on the walls. That is where pictures hung. Ya'll for real, he smoked like 8 packs a day for the last 60 years. INSIDE. I am pretty sure baby had nicotine withdrawals after leaving here.
I absolutely love this painting. I won it at a "Vagina Auction" to raise money for cervical cancer. I borrowed $125 from a friend to pay that night because I didn't have my wallet and I had to come back and pick it up because it was to big to fit in my car. It was made on the bottom of a chair. Like the wood in between all that fluff of a big fat man chair. It is so pretty and huge. I love big art. Here is the best one of all :)
For whatever reason the random generator is not showing the number it chose, but the number was 13. Lucky Mrs. Lindsay please email me your info @ firstname.lastname@example.org so I can get that prize out to you!! Stay tuned ya'll cause CSN stores has offered me up all kinds of goods to review/ giveaway. If I wasn't in the process of moving I would get on this a lot sooner but for now the giveaways will be simple! Holla!
Wow, we found a house by surprise (remember last post?) and can't wait to get in there. With that being said we have a LOT of work to do. I want to share some before & afters as well as some cool pics of our new crib!!
Alright ya'll here we go. This is the house. It is a beautiful 4 bedroom 3 bath house with a 2 car garage, carport, man cave, photo lab, mud room, huge back yard, piece of magic. Please bear with me through this process as my posts will be how I see things, not real life!
Now, this is a part of the living room, all of the furniture and crap is to be sold but the fireplace is beautiful and also backs up to the porch so we can cook/ stay warm while outside in the winter!
This is the living room/ kitchen. So perfect, we will have our kitchen table & high chair in the kitchen and we also have a formal dining room for holidays!
(disregard the AWFUL overhead lighting)
This was a vanity in the master ( I ripped out the counter) that I am turning into my closet. There is a big closet in the room already that the hub will use but I am about to closet maid this thing like nobody's business!! Shelves, rods, lingerie chest, oh my!! Why do my legs look like one is shorter than the other?
I was going to do a before and after of a chandelier but for some reason the pics are not loading so I will do it later!! ya'll have a wonderful week!
So I don't think I have a song that makes me cry...but husband sure does. His Dad was a HUGE Jimmy Buffet fan so he grew up listening to him. Every time we go anywhere with our lil bit he makes me put the Sirius on the Jimmy Buffet channel so she can learn to love it too! With that being said the song "Little Miss Magic" makes him cry every time her hears it or sings it to her! It is so, so, so, sweet. Here are the lyrics, Constantly amazed by the blades of the fan on the ceiling The clever little glances she gives me can't help but be appealing She loves to ride into town with the top down Feel that warm breeze on her gentle skin She is my next of kin Chorus: I see a little more of me everyday I catch a little more moustache turning gray Your mother is the only other woman for me Little miss magic, what you gonna be? Sometimes I catch her dreamin and wonder where that little mind meanders Is she strollin along the shore or cruisin oer the broad savannah I know someday shell learn to make up her own rhymes Someday she's gonna learn how to fly Oh that I wont deny Chorus: I catch a little more dialogue comin my way I see those big brown eyes just start to lookin astray Your mothers still the only other woman for me Little miss magic, what you gonna be? Yes she loves to ride into town with the top down Feel that warm breeze on her gentle skin She is my next of kin Constantly amazed by the blades of the fan on the ceiling Those clever little looks she gives just can't help but be appealing I know someday shell learn to make up her own rhymes One day she's gonna learn how to fly That I wont deny Chorus: I see a little more of me everyday I feel a little more moustache turning gray Your mothers still the only other woman for me Little miss magic, what you gonna be? Little miss magic, what you gonna be? Little miss magic, just can't wait to see Its raining, it's pouring Your old man is snoring More lyrics: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/j/jimmy+buffett/#share
Seeing my man with this baby girl we made is THE sweetest thing you have EVER seen. He loves her so much and it absolutely melts my heart to see these two together.
OH Emmm Geee!!! OK Ya'll, about my dream house, it would be like, 4 bedrooms, at least 3 bathrooms, and perfect. Well what to the what did we come across yesterday? Oh our dream house! My grandfather passed away 2 weeks ago and we have decided to live in this house, update, and make it ours!! Hopefully one day, buy it!! Ya'll it is beautiful and pics are coming! Anyhow we have a TON TON TON of work to do but you guys are gonna shart when you see what we have been blessed with!! HOLLA
Oh, and I am really disappointed in my giveaway turnout. Is it a bad prize? Maybe I should reply to the people who have contacted me about giveaways and turn them down...
Ok feel free to make fun and throw tomatoes or whatever you throw at people, but my fictional book choice would have to be The Twilight Series. Like Christina over at Leap of Faith, I did not think I would like them. I mean I make fun of people who read vampire crap but once I got sucked in I was staying up all night just to read. Lame right? They are just so "suck you in" (pun intended) because there is drama, sex, and of course werewolves. Who doesn't like a good werewolf book. Even my hub loved them and I was shocked. So with that being said, ENTER MY GIVEAWAY DANG IT!!!!

I am really not OCD about anything. I guess if I had to pick it would be the hardwoods being swept and dishes in the sink. I HATE dirty floors because I am barefoot 99% of the time and I think it is disgusting when I have to wipe the bottom of my feet off to sit on the couch. The problem is that we live in a 60 year old house so even if I sweep the floor daily they are always grubby. Once every 2 weeks when the maid comes I am in total bliss dancing around barefoot but the following morning I am once again in flip flops! The dishes in the sink never bothered me but once I had baby girl I began to get a peeve. I do not like putting her bottles in the sink with dishes so I pretty much wash them ANY time we use something. Sorry this was the most boring post ever but at least I posted right?!!
Ten years ago when my sister turned 21 my mom, dad, and I drove to Auburn to surprise her. We brought buckets of wings and kegs of beer. We called all of her friends and showed up to party. The night was fun, I was 16 and my mom let me drink beer. I remember some guy setting the front yard on fire, I remember smoking Newports and getting made fun of by the college people. I remember taking care of my mom who had 5 too many. I remember my sister taking my dad out to Bourbon Street with her girlfriends and dancing on the bar. I remember it was a blast and I was so proud to be her sister and let everyone know I was related to such a cool, pretty girl. All of her friends thought our parents were so cool! That was me 10 years ago. Sister on the left.
OMG what a fun time we had! Friday morning Scarlet & I set out for Emma's 1st Birthday bash!! It was seriously so fun. Other than the raging stomach ache I came home with, we had a great time. Maybe it had something to do with a lot of wine, pizza rolls for breakfast, hot dogs and cake for lunch, I don't know what it could have been! Emma had a pool party with a few of her little friends and the adults drank and ate. She had the cutest smash cake ever and after about 3 bites she kicked it off of the high-chair tray. I didn't get a picture of that because I was videoing for sister but hopefully she will post that soon. Here are some pics from our fun filled weekend. Initially Emma was NOT impressed with the cake, the high chair or her bib. Once she tasted this pretty cake she LOVED it!
This little Gracie was an ANGEL!! She was snuggly and cute and provided me with lots of love since my little one slept most of the party!
I have some more cute pics but my computer is being unruly so this is it for today! Hope you all had as much fun as I did this weekend!
The oil spill makes me sad. These photos were made to show that this doesn't only affect the coast or the animals. It affects everyone, everywhere. I think they are beautiful but they make me angry & sad.
